Our Story
Waltio’s journey began in 2019 with a simple realization: reporting cryptocurrency capital gains was a headache. Co-founders Pierre Morizot (CEO) and Benjamin Chevallereau (CTO) initially built a complex shared spreadsheet to compute their own taxes in accordance with French tax law.
Faced with strong enthusiasm from the crypto community and the real complexity of tax regulations, they decided to turn this personal project into a full-fledged software platform.
